Standing on the Edge

she always had that about her, that look of otherness, of eyes that see things much too far, and of thoughts that wander off the edge of the world.

Believe in Yourself

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, if they be events, illnesses or relationships, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere.

Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you either.

This Christmas

 Denim Blazer: Thrifted
Denim Mini Skirt: Bought from Singapore
Black top: Random Shop
Sandals: Random Shop

Sorry have to add his picture in my blog. Head over heels in love with this guy

The holidays are meant to be a joyful celebratory time of year, spent in the company of our family and friends, a time of year for us to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for, and to bask in the warm fuzzy feeling of peace and harmony.

I was having one of those “missing my mom and dad so much days” now that the sidewalks are screaming "It's Christmas". I’m so happy to share that tomorrow I’m going home; I might not be able to blog for the next two weeks. I'll spend my days enjoying their company.

Miss my mom so much. I’m a ticklish person, remember her tickling me to death in the morning. When I woke up, everything were already prepared from my neatly ironed uniform to my polished shoes, from my breakfast to my “baon” in school. I am blessed to have her as my mom because of her I learn to cherish and appreciate everything about my life and life in general.  Life is too precious not to enjoy every day while i can.

Thanks Mom wait for me I’m finally going home this Christmas.

XOXO

Thrift Treasures

Here are the pictures of what i bought yesterday as promised.

1. one white polo with polka dots design perfect for new year . Polka dots for Chinese are lucky by the way. This is cute paired with denim shorts below, brown belt and flats or heels.

2. one denim shorts with cat brooch in one of the pockets and little diamonds sticked near the pocket area. Sooo love the cat brooch so sparkly.

3. one black blouse with zebra printed sleeves. The picture did not do justice to the blouse the cloth are perfectly soft. I love to wear this going home on 22 December 2010. Bacolod City here i come.

4. one plain black with a straight little diamonds placed horizontally across the blouse. This is my favorite so simple yet classic treasure i found.

5. one black dress with sequins and an anchor design in front. This is perfect for night out.

6: last but not the least one blue and white sleeveless with leather straps. It's royal blue and white not black n white it's not clear in the picture.

Anyway, that's it until my thrifting adventure again. ; )

Rockin in Pink

I spend P1000.00 bucks today. Thrift shopping in Makati is quite expensive unlike in other areas but you'll really find great designer clothes. Some of the clothes were not worn yet you can still see tags attached to it. I'm not into branded clothes to be honest it depends on the design and the cloth in my perspective. So here are the descriptions of what I bought today.

1. one white polo with polka dots design perfect for new year . Polka dots for Chinese are lucky by the way.
2. one denim shorts with cat brooch in one of the pockets and little diamonds sticked near the pocket area.
3. one black blouse with zebra printed sleeves.
4. one plain black with a straight little diamonds placed horizontally across the blouse.
5. one black dress with sequins and an anchor design in front.
6: last but not the least one blue and white sleeveless with leather straps.

That’s only P1000.00 bucks snatched from my pocket.  I'll take photos of what I bought soon. If I went shopping to the mall I might have bought only one branded blouse and since there's no budget for food left will eat at home instead.

You might think it's expensive for thrifted clothes yeah that crossed my mind as well, but I always thrift when it's “new arrival” so I have more choices. I love thrift shopping merely because it’s cheap and the fact that I'll be comfortable wearing that in public and won't bounce in someone wearing the same blouse and the same color as I'm wearing.

Anyway, since i don't have pictures yet of what i bought here's some of the pictures i wasn't able to post here yet.

I'll be Home for Christmas

This year I am super excited that I will be spending Christmas at Home. As the trip draws near I think about all of the memories I have growing up in that house during the holidays. The anxious Christmas Eves after church service and actually looking forward to bedtime so Christmas morning would get there fast.
The yearly Christmas parties we had when we were young and going caroling through the neighborhood were always activities to be on the look out for. There are just so many memories from when I was growing up. Our home around the holidays was magical, it was enchanting, and it was full of love.

We delighted in family and treasured the moments spent with friends at Christmas parties. We gathered with both my mom and dad's sides of the family and shared in the fellowship of giving and family tradition. Sure we were a little disappointed when we didn't get what we hoped for, but we quickly overcame that. These are the kinds of memories that are running through my mind this holiday season.

This year I will be home for Christmas. A lot of things have changed. I am sure their memories and stories will be shared as we reflect on Christmas times past. Some things will remain the same though. Christmas day we will watch as the wrapping paper flies and the kids faces light up. We will visit family and enjoy the fellowship of love. Sure there are a few additions, but family is what it is all about. 6 days and counting. I ca'nt wait!
